Another Keesh challenge...

...which is probably officially finished. I've had this card finished since Friday, and I just haven't got it up yet!

I've used the Great Friend set again - surprise! - and cut out the leaves again - surprise! - and used some Naturals Ivory cardstock, some hostess paper, and part of a rub-on (and non-SU! eyelets and string...)

I really like this colour combo - and I'm totally not an orange fan!

New stamps!

Oh yeah... Had to break out my new set - from the Stampin' Up! mini which is coming out next month! I've recently signed up as a demo, so I get the benefit of pre-ordering now!

This card is for Makeesha's current sketch challenge - she also happens to be my upline! ;)

So, of course, it's all SU! stuff - I actually used grey! The card base is Going Gray, and the darker grey is Basic Grey. A leetle bit of new paper for the label-y thing, and a touch of textured Kiwi Kiss cardstock for the branches - which, yes, I cut out. *I* think they look cute... I have a feeling I'll get a fair bit of use from this set!

June already?

This year is just flying by! I can't believe we're almost at the halfway mark! At least I'm almost done with the uploading... I'll leave you alone soon...

This was the page I did for the Scrap the Girls challenge this month - to create a scene. In case you can't tell, I really, really, really struggled with it. And I still wish I'd put sunrays on.

A double, oh my! I never do doubles... But for my baby's first birthday, I had to! This was my Chooks DT pack for May. Mmmm... Pink and white - my favourite scrappy colours...

Same pack -

Chooks Continuous Challenge page - another "never"! I never use black backgrounds - and surprisingly, I really like this page!

June CC challenge for Chooks - a bright page, which I never do either! Look, no flowers!

This was the DT challenge for the CC - I love, love, love it! And I managed to use my SU! En Francais stamp! On a page!

May stuff.

Lots of stuff from May!

This was a sample for a monthly sketch challenge I set over at Chookscraps -

The May challenge for Scrap the Girls - guess who forgot that the challenge specified to use "perfect" in the title? Oops!

A just because page - this was a story I needed to get scrapped. Not bitter, I promise!

A sample for a Chookscraps Idol challenge -

Some May CC pages for Chooks:

Another just because page - I love this BG paper!

Another Chooks Idol sample -

A page with the May pack from Chooks -

And I still have more to upload!

April pages

This was my sample for the Scrap the Girls challenge for April:

One of my Chook Scraps Idol samples:

A class I taught at Just Scrapbooking in May (but I put it together in April, so I may as well keep it in chronological order, right?)

Some Chooks CC pages from April!

Ashlinn went through a stage of calling everything funny-lookin' (yes, with the missing g!)

Went a bit overboard with the journaling strips - may as well make the most of the challenge!

A page from the March pack from Chooks:

I taught this page as an online class for Chooks -

So it turns out...

...that there are actually people who read my blog! Who knew?!

I have a massive backlog of pages that I can upload - so be prepared for a rather image-heavy update in a series of posts over the next day or two - think you can stick around to the end? ;)

Waaaaaay back in March...

...these two pages were for the Chookscraps CC:

This was for the CC too - but it was the DT challenge! I used the dregs of the Chooks Pack from December.

This one was for the Chookscraps Idol competition which is happening - the challenge was to use bold colours, which is quite unlike me...

That's all for now - back with puh-lenty more later!

DT pack for Chook Scraps

So, it's been a while since I updated, which means, of course, that I have plenty to upload, now!

I'll start with the DT stuff I got in March!

This page might just be one of my most favourite pages ever! It's certainly my favourite for the year (so far, anyway!)

A card...

...for Makeesha's challenge this week. I love this little birdie!

I've also decided to have a go at selling my cards on etsy - eek!

Retreat.

A week ago, I was happily scrapping with the other Chooks who went to the retreat - it was soooo good! I loved being looked after (no cooking! no tidying up before going to bed!) and I'm totally going again next year! These are some of the pages I did while we were there - two I gave away.

My take on the glimmermisting workshop which Lorraine ran -

A just because page, which was heavily inspired by Bon (who has amazing talent!). I think I may have been sucked into the stapling crew... Loving the crackle paint at the moment, too!

Another just because page (I love those kind of pages!) - it was voted most popular "other" page at the retreat (the only thing I can win anymore!). Oh, and look at that - staples and crackle paint...

No way! Crackle paint, but no staples!

And last, a card I made - I loooove how it turned out, and I think I'll be doing a fair bit of layered stamping for a while... I used a bunch of stamps I borrowed from my friend Amy! I used a sanded background stamp on there too (that one is mine!) but you can't see it very well in the photo.

Catch up

Well, what do you know - I'm sure there's going to be at least one unimpressed person when they find out I've missed uploading a whole stack of pages... (Sorry, Jeanae!) A couple of these go back to January... Oops!

These pages used Bon's January boy kit -

These were for the Continuous Challenge at Chook Scraps - the first one was my serious challenge...

...and then the challenge that I set for the next on the list was apparently so hard, and I said if Emma did it, then she could set me a challenge, too... Her page is here, and this is the page I did with the criteria she gave me -

A February Chooks challenge to use ribbon and buttons - both of which I have stacks of, and barely use!

Feb CC challenge 1 for Chooks -

Feb CC challenge 2 -

Feb CC DT challenge - yikes! big brackets was a tough criteria!

And two pages with the January pack from Chooks.

(isn't that dress cute? It was from Aunty Ainsley...)
